Nepalese tea stands at a crossroads, both in geography and process. Bordered by China and India, orthodox production in this mountainous country is relatively new; the Jun Chiyabari tea garden, which makes this special black tea, was founded in 2001. Utilizing cultivars from nearby Darjeeling, and techniques from Taiwan and Japan, this organic farm crafts many unique varieties.
Harvested at elevations near 6,000 feet, the leaf has undergone a long period of withering, careful rolling and oxidation, as shown in its beautiful, leather-brown long twists. Flavors reminiscent of a Chinese black tea—but with more deep fruitiness (plum, raspberry) and notes of cedar wood and nutella—last through two or three infusions. Rich aromas of roasted cacao nibs and buckwheat honey round out this smooth and fragrant cup, each sip rewarding with a weighty mouthfeel and lingering, full finish.

Woodsy taste, unique add a drop of honey nice tea
I am loving this one cold brewed. I take it to all my afternoon meetings. This flavor is balanced and brisk.
I look forward to this tea! It has such a beautiful nose! Just to breathe it in makes me smile and think of happy! The colour is beautiful and rich, and the flavor is both lavish and yet somehow delicate!
Nice bouquet. Fruity, dark cherry through three infusions. Easy to drink.
This tea is my every day drinking black tea right now. I love how the leaves are a bit longer and twisted and unfurl in hot water. It is deep and rich and not too tannic with a soft mouth feel on the palate. It has aromas of honey and spice and earth and the liquor is a wonderful rich deep amber. It is wonderful in cooler weather to curl up with a book.
I am in love with the aroma of this tea. The flavor profile is completely accurate. Mild but earthy and intriguing. This will be my personal treat!
This is my go to Black Tea right now. I prefer a very earthy Black Tea and this perfectly fits the bill from taste to smell.
