The first and best vessels for infusing and serving tea, yixing clay teapots were introduced in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Renowned for the quality of their brewing, these small handcrafted pots are specifically designed to prepare oolong and pu-erh teas gongfu cha style: the unglazed surface allows for high heat retention, and produces superior cups through multiple infusions. Dedicate a pot for each style of tea; use lots of leaf and multiple short steeps to fully enjoy this teapot.

To clean, simply rinse with water; avoid soap.
