Sencha Okuyutaka 2017


This classic Japanese green tea is from a high elevation farm in Shizuoka Prefecture. The leaves are both kabuse (covered before harvest) and tezumi (hand picked); note their elegant long-needle shape and verdant emerald color. Once infused, the tea releases a rich aroma and even richer flavor, marine and grassy. The deep sweetness lingers long after the soft finish.

Brew with a water temperature below boiling (160°-170°F) to maintain the bittersweet balance and beautiful light emerald-colored infusion.
