Moon Cake Sheng (55 g)
This green (
) pu-erh is compressed into a traditional moon cake shape. From the Lincang region of Yunnan, it was produced in 2011 and is surprisingly smooth for such a young sheng pu-erh. The olive green and dark brown leaves yield a pale copper liquor with a sweet, haylike aroma and a balanced, sour plum astringency. Flake off a small section of tea to brew, and set aside the rest to age.
