Spring Fortune (2 oz)

The semi-oxidized leaves of this rare oolong from Lalasan, in northern Taiwan, are exquisite, varying in color from deep lime green to saddle brown. The rich, sweet aroma- redolent of pineapple and cherry- in both the dry and infused leaf distinguishes this unique style of tea. Its sweet, fruity and clear flavor has a wonderfully round and lingering finish and lasts up to a dozen infusions.

This lot was grown organically and produced in spring 2014; it has aged beautifully, and is prime for drinking now.

  • Start with your favorite spring or filtered water. Do a quick rinse to preheat the teaware and awaken the leaves. Use a large strainer basket to allow the leaves to open and release their flavor.
  • Temperature: 212 F (boiling) Time: 2-3 minutes
    Amount: 3g / 6 oz serving = 1 tablespoon
  • Play with the amount of tea, the water temperature, and steeping time to re-steep - rely on taste, not color. Get to know the tea! Try it gong-fu style - use a lot of leaf and short steeps for multiple infusions.

Amazing One of The Best Oolongs March 12, 2016

This Spring Fortune is tied with the "Phoenix Old Tree" as my favorite Oolong of all time. I don't go crazy with the taste descriptions but it's unique clean and crisp taste is literally amazing. If you like tea in general you will like Spring Fortune. You can't go wrong. In Pursuit of Tea does a great job sourcing their teas from the most unique and highest quality growers in my opinion.
