This finely crafted porcelain tea set is beautifully hand-painted with embossed glazing. The sharing pitcher and gaiwan holds up to 6 oz. of liquid. This set comes with six tasting cups, each holding approximately 1 oz. of liquid. In following the tradition of gong fu cha, tea is placed in the gaiwan for steeping. The lid is used to sieve the leaves away from the pouring or drinking edge. Then the brewed tea is poured into the sharing pitcher, which is used to insure that each cup tastes exactly the same.
