This Dragonwell-style tea has a flat leaf and is hand-pressed in a hot wok. It is grown in Anhui on Yellow Mountain (Huang Shan), far from the cities; the pristine air and water produce a high chestnut fragrance and lingering fresh taste. Ours is harvested before the rain, and consists of one bud and two leaves. Named for the monk Dafang, an expert tea maker in the area during the Ming dynasty, this tea tradition has continued with slight variation for 400 years.
